Student, player or teacher: this app is terrific. To use as a site reading aid: type it in the cords from a transcription: play the chords back slow enough to let you read the notes accurately: increase the tempo a little at a time: do not frustrate yourself.

I use this app with my students and it works great! I also use it myself on the road when Im practicing tunes in 12 keys or learning new tunes. Its a tool...not a band. The flexibility is extraordinary and the changing of tempos without changing pitch has SO many benefits. Different grooves and styles of music help open up the students to new possibilities and opportunities in this big beautiful world of music. 5 stars - absolutely recommended!

I am a bass player and I love playing over different tunes with drums and rudimentary keys. I have not found another place with so may chord charts in one easy to use place. This is a very useful and beneficial app!

I am learning jazz guitar and this app really helps a lot. I plug my iPhone into the 3.5mm auxiliary jack on my amp and plug my guitar into the instrument jack. Instant backing band for learning standards out of the real book! You can transpose songs too if you want a different key. You can also create playlists. Awesome app!!

Wow what a great app to have on hand. Its easy to use and with Bluetooth you have a rhythm section on hand to jam too at a moments notice. Composer can hear and try chord progression fast as well. What a great app thank you.

I dont care what this costs: buy it. If youre a real musician, pros especially, you must have this. Ive been on stage 58 years doing rock, now mostly cocktails and standards on piano and bass and cant live without it. I go back to the days of carrying 50 pounds of charts. Not anymore. Playback option makes you a whole band. Break a leg all.

A must have for beginners, a must have for intermediate players, and pretty much a must-have for professionals too (who will prefer Band-in-a-box... but mobile version is horrible). Cant speak highly enough of this fantastic piece of software - at an amazing price.

Hey you know I messed up my arm really bad it took me a few years to recover but in order to teach music I need to be able to demonstrate jazz at a professional level of proficiency. In this dystopian society where nobody plays music with each other unless theyre already really good professionals who play for money, I was having such a hard time getting my playing together for like six months. I was recommended to get this app from a bass player who gigs around LA in serious jazz groups. I was just using it for about three hours and now I sound like I could be playing in a hotel lobby for sure, for the first time in years. It is so to the point. I bet anyone could learn jazz a year if they are good at their instrument, transcribe a bunch of Charlie Parker, and use this app every day. Anyways, funk the world, its such a lame place for people who are having a hard time, nobody wants to give you a hand, they treat you like you have a contagious disease. Thank God for technology :-)

After the interface update im unable to edit my sheet. The keyboard hides the info icon and also the textBox. It really put me in a jam.

Got very scared here. I love this app. the share menu changed dramatically, and i thought midi export was gone. I don’t think of midi as “audio”, but that’s where you will find it now.

I consider this an essential app for all of my iOS devices. It gets used for writing charts, writing new songs, and even doing quick MIDI exports for demos I load into other iOS apps. I especially like being able to use the Nashville Number system allowing me to play the charts in any key without transposing. However, its extremely easy to change the keys of lettered charts also. Wish list: Macros Shortcuts for inputting data Listen to audio and convert to chords automatically.

Ive got over 3500 tunes stored in this app, all with backing tracks and chord charts, and the ability to change what style the rhythm section is playing. Hefty price but definitely worth it if youre recording or just messing around!
